§ 01 Overview
Overview
Tripeptide fragment of alpha-MSH with potent anti-inflammatory effects, especially in the gut and skin.
Robust preclinical data; early clinical work in IBD.
§ 02 Mechanism
Mechanism of action
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH. It enters cells and reaches the nucleus to suppress NF-κB signaling, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokine expression without the pigmentation effects of full-length α-MSH.
