Listing here is not an endorsement. Many suppliers operate in legal gray zones; several have FDA warning letters, lawsuits, or criminal cases on record. The US peptide supply chain changed materially between late 2023 and early 2026. Verify everything here against the FDA, Health Canada, and PCAB databases before purchasing anything. Consult a licensed clinician.

The regulatory framework

503A vs 503B. 503A pharmacies are state-licensed and require a patient-specific prescription. 503B outsourcing facilities register with the FDA, follow full cGMP, and can ship office stock without patient-specific Rx. The FDA’s registered 503B list is the single most reliable credibility anchor for compounded peptides.

FDA Category 2.On September 29, 2023, the FDA placed 19 peptides on the 503A interim Category 2 list, meaning they cannot be lawfully compounded. Restricted compounds include BPC-157, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, Thymosin Alpha-1, TB-500, AOD-9604, Selank, Semax, Epitalon, Kisspeptin-10, MOTS-c, LL-37, KPV, Melanotan II, PEG-MGF, GHRP-2/6, DSIP, injectable GHK-Cu, and Thymalin. Some were procedurally removed in September 2024, but the FDA’s PCAC committee has voted against every 503A inclusion attempt since.

Legally compoundable today. Compounds with a prior FDA approval pathway: Sermorelin, Tesamorelin, PT-141 / Bremelanotide, Oxytocin, HCG, Glutathione, Gonadorelin, VIP, and topical GHK-Cu. Retatrutide, Cagrilintide, Mazdutide, Orforglipron, Survodutide, Danuglipron, and Lotiglipron have no compounding pathway. They are investigational molecules available only through research peptide channels or clinical trials.

GLP-1 shortage resolution. Tirzepatide shortage resolved October 2024 with 503A enforcement February 2025 and 503B March 2025. Semaglutide resolved February 2025 with 503A enforcement April 2025 and 503B May 2025. The Outsourcing Facilities Association lost both lawsuits. Telehealth platforms using a “personalized” B12/B6 loophole face active infringement litigation from Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk.

Tier 1: 503B outsourcing facilities

FDA-registered 503B pharmacies are the single most credible channel for compoundable peptides. They follow cGMP (21 CFR 210/211) and can ship office stock without patient-specific prescription. PCAB accreditation is a strong additional signal. Per Partnership for Safe Medicines (July 2025), 96% of inspected 503Bs have nonetheless received Form 483 observations.
