§ 01 Overview
Overview
Plant flavonol with senolytic activity. Extended murine lifespan ~10–17%; multiple human trials active.
Multiple trials active (Mayo Clinic, Wake Forest, STOP-Sepsis).
§ 02 Mechanism
Mechanism of action
Fisetin inhibits PI3K/AKT and BCL-2 family proteins in senescent cells, inducing apoptosis. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, and favorable oral bioavailability relative to other senolytic flavonols.
