Mechanism of action

Thymulin binds a zinc ion in a 1:1 stoichiometry; the Zn-bound form promotes T-cell differentiation and restores CD4/CD8 balance in immunosenescent or zinc-deficient states. Anti-inflammatory effects via suppression of NF-κB-driven cytokines.
